Why subscribe?
Indeed. Why should you subscribe to yet another newsletter. Your inox is full of them. Most of which you never get round to reading. Best of intentions and all that.
No matter how hard I try to persuade you using punchy prose, I’m never going to convince you to sign up. After all, I’m just another one of the hundreds of thousands of Substack writers trying to build an audience.
Working on the assumption that you don’t subscribe, I’m still going to publish a weekly newsletter as I’m bloody minded. When I commit to do something, I’ll do it come what may.
If on the off chance your eyes have made contact with one of my newsletters, and your brain has processed some of the information that’s passed through your visual cortex, and maybe just maybe you’ve felt a tiny surge of positive energy then you could direct it towards your hand and use it to tap/click the subscribe button.
I realise that I haven’t provided any good reasons as to why you should subscribe apart from stating that I’m not bothered if you don’t. If you are attracted to my ambivalence then by all means subscribe.
Of course, if you’re a bit of a technology geek, care about the world you’ll leave behind when you take your last cackling breath and want to challenge some of the ideas and observations that I share through my writing then I’d be honoured to welcome you as a subscriber.
Warning - I’ve one of those brains that seems naturally wired towards joining lots of random dots (metaphorically speaking). This will shine through in my writing. Maybe you’ll appreciate it, maybe you won’t. Much like nature, this energy transition thing is chaotic and disorderly. You know that right? Competition for the finite pool of resources (money, talent etc.) to develop CleanTech is fierce.
I contend that the little value I can add is to straighten things out a little on your behalf. Looking outwards to identify what’s emerging on the CleanTech horizon and zooming in to make sense of what’s happening on the tech battleground right now.
If you stick with me, I’ll introduce you to some interesting CleanTech businesses that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know. I’ll also to my best to share info on funding, resources, and funding that may be of interest to you.
